Received a call from Australia, from long time friend, Lavinia Riachi, asking if I would like to work on a film about the Australian artist Sir Sidney Nolan. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the life and works of this fascinating man. Filming in London and Rodd in Herefordshire.

The studio at Rodd Farm was the last place Nolan lived and worked before he died in 1992. The whole site is owned and run by The Sidney Nolan Trust and the studio has been left exactly as it was when he was alive. There are also some lovely valley and woodland walks around the 250 acre site. Well worth a visit.

We also spent some time with another Australian artist, Shaun Gladwell, at his studio in Camberwell. Great guy, really interesting work and fun to be with.

The film was a Flaming Stars Films production for the Australian Broadcasting Company, directed by the lovely Sally Aitken, with 1st AC Andy Hill doing his usual first class work.
